Hybrid/Preferred Location: Denver, CO
$150,000–$190,000 DOE
Exceptional Benefits
We are seeking a Director of Delivery to join our leadership team and lead our software development and consulting organization. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing and scaling delivery teams, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on problem solving.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of project planning and execution - including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management - while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the satisfaction of both clients and company leadership. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients, establish scalable and repeatable methodologies, and enforce quality standards through monitoring and reporting.
This is both a strategic and highly engaged role: as a member of the leadership team, you will help shape business growth while also being directly involved in client meetings, performance reporting, and problem-solving alongside managers and teams.
Essential Responsibilities:
Business & Leadership
- Serve on the leadership team responsible for shaping business growth and company direction.
- Own delivery performance metrics including utilization, margins, and client satisfaction.
- Partner with leadership on planning, resourcing, and client account growth opportunities.
- Act as a client-facing leader by regularly joining client meetings, reviews, and prospect discussions.
- Build strong client relationships that reinforce confidence in delivery and create growth opportunities.
- Act as an escalation point for critical issues, ensuring quick, solutions-first responses.
- Stay deeply involved in project reporting and health metrics, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
- Standardize governance, methodologies, and delivery cadence across all projects.
- Drive accountability through reporting dashboards, milestone reviews, and weekly check-ins.
- Directly manage delivery team managers, coaching them to develop leadership skills and ensure consistent execution.
- Mentor and retain top delivery talent across consulting, project management, and development.
- Lead with a hands-on style — showing, not just telling, how problems should be solved.
- Use post-mortems, reporting, and trend analysis to refine processes and strengthen future delivery.
- Champion innovation through low-code/no-code practices and agile approaches.
- Drive initiatives that improve efficiency, profitability, and client experience.
Essential Duties:
- Be in the details: Actively monitor reporting on budgets, KPIs, utilization, and client satisfaction.
- Meet with clients and prospects regularly to reinforce trust, ensure alignment, and support sales opportunities.
- Solve problems directly: Step in on escalations, troubleshoot delivery challenges, and help managers resolve blockers.
- Review project health weekly including scope, budget, client expectations, and testing criteria.
- Lead project governance cadence (internal reviews, milestone tracking, leadership updates).
- Guide managers day-to-day, ensuring standards are met and projects stay on course.
- Conduct project reviews with leadership, reporting on cost, schedule, and delivery outcomes.
- Champion process improvements and ensure lessons learned are applied across future projects.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in delivery leadership, including direct management of managers.
- Proven ability to lead from the front — directly engaging with clients, prospects, and delivery teams.
- Strong track record of improving delivery efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction.
- Experience monitoring and acting on delivery reporting, financials, and KPIs.
- Executive-level communication skills with the ability to build trust at both C-level and team level.
- Knowledge of software development and consulting, ideally including low-code/no-code platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree required; PMP or advanced certification preferred.
